The Goose Wines celebrate 2009 SA Open win

THE GOOSE celebrated his tournament win at THE AFRICA OPEN,18TH January in East London,South Africa with a large 9 liter bottle of Expression 2007. Winemaker Morne Jonker, and fellow partner Werner Roux, together with friends, family and pilots,Derek and Rupert were there to celebrate the Goose`s first win of 2009!!!!

Later the evening at the winner`s dinner, the large bottle of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon blend was enjoyed by all in celebration of Retief`s win.

The Goose Wines were the official wines at the Gala Dinner the evening before, at the famous Osner Hotel in East London.Fellow players like, Darren Clarke, Angel Cabrera,Charl Swartzel,David Frost and Richard Sterne attended the sponsors dinner and enjoyed the wines with Retief. Little did everyone know that The Goose would come from 5 shots back on the Sunday morning, to charge through the field with 9 birdies to win the tournament on 21 under!!!!!! “I guess my smooth wine influenced my swing today too” Retief joked with friends after his first win of 2009.

The Goose Wines have been invited by the organizers of THE TAVISTOCK CUP,as the official wines during the 2 day tournament on 16th and 17th March at Lake Nona,Florid,USA.

All players and family will receive the wines as gifts to enjoy during this thrilling match play competition between Lake Nona and Isleworth Golf resorts which will be televised internationally.
